Trust and Transparency
Searchaprice editorial and affiliate policy.
Our buying guides exist to help readers evaluate offers, not to manufacture urgency or push one retailer. This page explains how we choose topics, what we verify, how commercial relationships are labeled, and how readers can request a correction.
What our editorial content covers
Searchaprice publishes practical guidance about comparing product listings, total purchase costs, seller reliability, product condition, barcode matches, returns, warranties, and price tracking. We focus on methods readers can reuse across products rather than producing pages that repeat retailer descriptions or exist only to send visitors to an affiliate link.
How a guide is created
- Define a real shopper question. A topic must help a reader make or verify a decision.
- Separate facts from judgment. We identify listing facts—such as seller, shipping, condition, return terms, and warranty—before explaining how they can affect value.
- Use concrete examples. Examples show the calculation or decision process. Example prices are illustrative unless a page clearly states that a current offer was checked on a particular date.
- Review for distinct purpose. Each indexed guide must answer a different question. We avoid publishing near-duplicate pages for small keyword variations.
- Check links and disclosures. Commercial links must be identifiable, and the final retailer remains responsible for its offer.
No pay-to-rank editorial guides
Retailers, marketplaces, sellers, and advertisers do not purchase placement in our educational guide library. Sponsored offers may appear elsewhere on Searchaprice, but they must be labeled as sponsored or advertising. A sponsorship does not give the sponsor control over a guide’s advice, examples, conclusions, or internal links.
Affiliate links
Some links may be affiliate links. If a visitor follows one and completes a qualifying purchase, Searchaprice may receive a commission at no additional cost to the visitor. The possibility of a commission does not change the price-comparison checks we recommend. Affiliate relationships do not guarantee that a listing is the best value, and we encourage readers to verify the final product, seller, price, delivery, returns, and warranty.
Searchaprice participates in the Amazon Associates program. As an Amazon Associate, Searchaprice earns from qualifying purchases.
Search results are not editorial endorsements
Product search results, rotating picks, and retailer links are separate from the editorial guide library. A result can be relevant to a query without being independently tested or recommended by our editors. Prices and availability can change, and third-party sellers may appear on marketplace pages. Readers should open the retailer page and perform the checks described in our guides.
Sources and duplicated content
We write our guides for Searchaprice and do not copy retailer product descriptions, manufacturer marketing pages, or third-party buying guides. Necessary facts such as return terms or warranty conditions should be verified on the responsible company’s official page. When a guide depends on a changing external policy, we describe the principle and direct the reader to the current official terms rather than reproducing a large block of outside text.
Updates and corrections
Each guide shows a publication or review date. We update material when the Searchaprice workflow changes, a reader identifies an error, or a cited practice no longer reflects the shopping environment. A correction that changes the meaning of a guide should be reflected in the updated date.
To report an error, send the page URL, the statement in question, and supporting information to support@searchaprice.com. We review correction requests but cannot resolve disputes between buyers and retailers.
What we do not claim
Searchaprice does not sell the products shown in search results, set retailer prices, guarantee inventory, certify third-party sellers, or promise that a particular price will return. Our guides are general educational information and not financial, legal, safety, or product-specific professional advice.
Reader-first test
Before an article is included in the buying guide library, it should remain useful even if every commercial link is removed. That test helps us distinguish educational content from a thin affiliate page. If a page cannot answer a reader’s question without its outbound links, it does not belong in the indexed guide library.
